What a party it was! Over
1300 seats were filled with jazz lovers from 16 states, Our 30th birthday present to our faithful
patrons was a jazz cruise up (and down) the This year local sculptress, Justine Ferrari, created a
special piece of “jazz art” in honor of our 30th birthday.
She donated it to us to be raffled at the festival.
The winners of the raffle were JOHN AND SANDY QUARLES, from Leland.
They are new to our area and this was their first time at the NCJF – a
special way for them to celebrate John’s birthday and enjoy one of Mark your calendars for next year’s North Carolina Jazz Festival, which will be on the THIRD weekend in February (17th – 19th). We will have some very interesting surprises for you that will make the 2011 NCJF one not to be missed! The NCJF is a non-profit organization, run solely by volunteers. The event was a “team effort”, with members of the Cape Fear Jazz Society filling several of those volunteer positions, helping to make it a great success!
